Not all of the regular staff are on board yet.

Nevertheless, the footballers of SE Freising showed a strong performance against the higher-class FC Deisenhofen.

Freising

- Things are going quite well for the footballers of SE Freising in preparation for the season of the Landesliga Südost, which starts in about three weeks.

The Lerchenfelder cannot yet fall back on the full staff, so important regular workers are still absent due to injuries.

Against FC Deisenhofen - one of the contenders for promotion to the regional league in the Bayernliga Süd - the young boys in yellow and black presented themselves relatively fearless: They won under the aegis of assistant coach Florian Bittner, as coach Alex Plabst from private Reasons were missing, narrowly, but deserved 3: 2 (2: 1).

Newcomer Benedict Geuenich scores for SE Freising

Right from the start, the home side showed little respect for their former regional league competitors - there wasn't much to be seen of the class difference. The Freising had some good chances early on, for example Andi Manhart awarded the 1-0 free standing. Then newcomer Benedict Geuenich succeeded: Daniel Zanker had a wonderful place in the sixteenth - Geuenich fooled Deisenhofen's keeper and finished dry (15th). Although the guests were looking for the way to the goal, Freising's back four were often spot on, except for offside hits, the FCD did not want to succeed. But the SEF made it 2-0: Florian Schmuckermeier straightened the leather 20 meters in front of the goal and concluded the action worth seeing (41st). However, Tobias Rembeck shortened after a Freising mistake before the break (44th).

At the end of the day, Freising still has a few more arrows in its quiver

In the second half, Deisenhofen equalized with a big hit in Lukas Presch's Kreuzeck (58th).

But in the end Freising still had a few more arrows in his quiver.

Jonas Mayr finally got through to SEF youngster Luka Brudtloff, who marked the 3-2 final score with his third test match goal (70th).

The game continues on Tuesday: At 6:30 p.m., the SEF-Elf will make a guest appearance at FC Moosinning for a test match.
