Max Kruse, Nadiem Amiri and Maximilian Arnold lead the DFB * line-up.
The three Bundesliga stars were all born before 1997, which is why Kuntz was able to nominate them in addition to his U23 selection.
There are also seven U21 European champions in the 19-strong team: Niklas Dorsch, Ismail Jakobs, Arne Maier, Amos Pieper, David Raum, Anton Stach and Josha Vagnoman.
As expected, Florian Müller from VfB Stuttgart is scheduled to be the regular goalkeeper, with Benjamin Henrichs from RB Leipzig and Felix Uduokhai from FC Augsburg, who are experienced in the A-team, too.
"It will be a very special experience for the 19 boys and the entire team to be part of Team Germany in Tokyo," said Kuntz.
