Marseille in D1 Women, Le Puy in National?

2021-07-06T14:22:04.387Z

The Comex of the FFF which meets on Tuesday July 13 will finally rule on the championships of D1 women, National and D1 Futsal. Le Puy (N2

The epilogue is scheduled for July 13 in the morning.

Several clubs, while waiting for a draft or a climb, will finally know their future during the Comex (executive committee of the French federation).

According to our information, several accessions are to be expected such as that of Le Puy (N2) in National or even the women of Marseille in D1.

For several months, the FFF has been thinking about finding the most equitable decision in order to confirm its championships in National, D1 women and D1 Futsal. If these three championships came to an end, those of the lower divisions were stopped due to the health crisis and a blank season was therefore pronounced. What about clubs relegated to these divisions? Will they be drafted or will the number of teams in these championships be reduced? The federal body wants to make the same decision for everyone.

In National, the last four - Boulogne-sur-Mer (15th), FC Bastia-Borgo (16th), Créteil (17th) and SC Lyon (18th) - are relegated. Due to the white season pronounced for all amateur championships from N2 (4th division), no N2 club can access the National and therefore 4 teams are missing to reach 18 next season. The rules of the National are clear. He indicates that "insofar as the provisions set out do not allow the number of 18 teams to be reached, and until the deadline of July 17, the teams relegated to N2 in the order of the classification are re-selected. ".

As there has been no rise from N2 in the National, the FFF should pick up the relegated sports teams namely Boulogne, Bastia-Borgo, Créteil and SC Lyon.

But, on this point, his texts are just as clear: “the team ranked last in the National cannot be drafted”.

As a blank season has been pronounced this season in N2, the FFF should bring up Le Puy who had finished 15th (and first relegation) of National during the season ... 2019-2020 and who was therefore first on the list of draft picks.

Complicated situation also in futsal

In women's D1, Issy (11th) and Le Havre (12th) finished in the last two places synonymous with descent in D2. Several weeks ago, many players feared a reduction of the elite to 10 clubs. “The only thing is that there are two runs and no climb because of the white season in D2. Then the DNCG will work and we will find a formula. My opinion is that we will continue to play at 12 clubs in D1 ”, confided Noël Le Graët, president of the FFF, in our columns on May 27.

If the 11th, Issy, will be normally drafted, the 12th team registered for the D1 2021-2022 championship should be called Marseille. The Phocéennes, 7th in D2 before the end of the championships last season, finished penultimate (11th with 2 wins and 14 losses) in D1 in 2019-2020. "If the rules are applied, and we are asked to go up, we will go up," says the Marseille club. We are ready to move to D1. We have the experience, the structure and currently we are preparing the team for two possibilities, one with an accession in D1 and the other in D2. We are now awaiting the decision of the federation. "

Other clubs remain in difficulty. AS Soyaux (10th in D1), demoted last June, was reinstated in the elite last Thursday. Friday, the DNCG announced this time the demotion as a precaution of the men's team of the Girondins de Bordeaux who appealed. The women's section of the Girondins, 3rd in the last championship behind PSG and Lyon, must participate in the first round of qualifying for the Champions League against the Czechs of Slovacko (from August 18 to 21). Can this team also be sanctioned or be demoted if the men's team was confirmed on appeal on July 12? "The fate of the two formations is not linked," said the club.

If the Bordelaises were nevertheless to give up their place in D1, they would be replaced by Saint-Etienne. The Stéphanoises, unbeaten last season in D2 after 15 games when the championships were stopped, were then deprived of moving up to D1 because of the ranking in the quotient (number of points divided by the number of matches) for… 0, 04 point (2.5 against 2.46). This non-accession experienced as an injustice by the Stéphanoises could therefore be (in part) erased if there was the announcement of a rise in D1.

In D1 Futsal, the situation is also complicated. The Federation must find 4 clubs to keep a 12-team championship next year due to the relegation of Chavanoz, the demotions of the French champion Accs Asnières - Villeneuve-la-Garenne and Garges Djibson (who must be appealed) and the merger between the two Toulouse clubs, UJS and Metro FC. A site that must be settled on July 13.
