Could this be the opportunity for the tennis super star to win a new medal?
Absent in Rio in 2016, Roger Federer is expected to return to the Olympic Games in Tokyo, since the holder of 20 Grand Slam titles is on the list of 116 athletes that the Swiss Olympic team has just published.

Unless he declines the selection, the Swiss should travel to participate in his fifth Olympic Games after Sydney in 2000, Athens in 2004, Beijing 2008 and London in 2012. Before Wimbledon, where he is still involved and will face the Italian Sonego in the round of 16 on Monday, Federer had however expressed some reservations about his participation: “It is still my intention to go to the Olympic Games.
But we will re-evaluate everything after Wimbledon.
My goal is to play as many tournaments as possible.
But it really depends on the results and how the body feels.
