But a heavy fall fell today (Monday) on the American Hockey League, after goalkeeper Columbus Matisse Kiblenix died under extraordinary circumstances.
The 24-year-old Latvian celebrated American Independence Day last night, when he was hit by one of the fireworks, and died at the hospital.
According to the American media, Kibleniks was injured while in a hot tub with several of his friends.
Rescuers arrived at the scene in less than five minutes, but it was already too late.
Police initially reported that the doorman died while trying to escape, fell to the floor and was hit in the head, however the post-mortem revealed that the distillation he sustained in his chest was the one that caused his death.
