Basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo never scored more points in an NBA playoff match, but that was not enough: The Milwaukee Bucks come under pressure in the title fight against the Phoenix Suns.

The Phoenix Suns have also won the second final duel with the Milwaukee Bucks and have good chances of their first NBA championship before the two upcoming away games.

The team around leader Chris Paul won at home 118-108 and traveled to Wisconsin with a 2-0 lead in their backs.

A team needs four wins to win the title.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 42 points in the second game after his knee injury, a personal record for him in the NBA playoffs, twelve rebounds and four assists, but had too little support from the other important players on his team.

In the Suns, Paul got 23 points and was only number three in his team behind Mikal Bridges (26).

"We now have two days to get our bodies in shape and then we're off to Milwaukee," said Devin Booker, who was the Suns' best thrower with 31 points.

Game three is on Monday night (2.00 a.m. / CEST).

Bad luck with injuries again

Recovery should come at the right time: For the second time in a row, the Suns lost an important player: Torrey Craig injured his right knee in the last minute of the third quarter after a collision with Antetokounmpo.

Sun's backup forward Dario Saric, who tore his right anterior cruciate ligament, lost in game one.

The Bucks lost their good starting position in the second game after a good start and a 29:26 lead after the first quarter and did not recover from the weak second quarter, which the Suns won 30:16.
