Tomorrow, the specialized camp of the Syrian national football team, led by Nizar Mahrous, the new coach, will start tomorrow, with the participation of 28 players, including 6 goalkeepers, in preparation for the decisive round of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup.
Mahrous said during a press conference today at the headquarters of the Game Association in Damascus that this camp is dedicated to goalkeepers, defense players and focus and will last for about a week, followed by another local camp, during which we will focus on the strength of the national team after the Eid al-Adha holiday, noting that a phased plan has been developed in preparation for the next stage of decisive qualifiers. .
Mahrous added: We will call in players who benefit from forming a clear personality for the team to reach an ideal squad for the upcoming matches, and we will stand during the preparatory camps on weaknesses and address them in addition to filling the positions needed by the team, especially in the back areas, noting at the same time that contact has been made with the player Ahmed Al-Saleh to know how long it takes to return to the stadiums and recover from his injury, focusing on the issue of professional players, communicating with them and discussing the possibility of including them, which constitutes a strong addition to the team.
The new coach expressed his optimism that the team, with its strong squad, will reach ambition with preparation and work well because the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup still exists despite the difficult task that awaits our team in the next round of qualifying.
The President of the Football Association, Brigadier General Hatem Al-Ghayeb, expressed his confidence in the new coaching staff of the team, headed by the coach, Mahrous, who was selected for this task after the members of the technical department in the federation agreed on the necessity of his presence due to the great experience he possesses, indicating that at the request of the coach of the team and after the approval of the members of the association, The dismissal of Omar Khribin's penalty will pave the way for his return to the national team.
