Training director Milan Erzen did not seem to know the reason for this intervention: “
They disturb our riders for an hour and at the end they thank you. They did not tell us the reason for their visit, but we will find out today through our lawyers.

During their intervention, the police apparently dwelled on the “
training files
” of the team's riders.
This investigation could be linked to the anonymous doping accusations against Mr Erzen's team in the media.
Although these accusations are unfounded, several voices, including that of a team manager, have cast doubts on Bahrain Victoroius' recent performances on the Giro and the Critérium du Dauphiné.
The rather unexpected excellent performances of Damiano Caruso and Mark Padun on these two races attracted the attention of the UCI and therefore of the French police.
