US President Joe Biden today (Tuesday) hosted NFL champion Tampa Bay in the Canaries at the White House in Washington - who became the first champion to come to the White House since 2017. Tom Brady visited the White House for the first time since 2005, when President was George W. Bush.
Although he also won the championship with New England in 2015 and 2017, he gave up visits under Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
In addition, the Patriots as a team chose not to visit in 2019.

But today Brady looks smiling and happy alongside Biden, coach Bruce Arians and owner Brian Glazer, in a ceremony that included quite a few jokes - including about Brady's age (perhaps against the backdrop of criticism of President Biden's older age) and victories against all odds (and again, against the background) Biden who defeated the incumbent president in the election, Trump).
Brady, who at the start of last season already seemed to be well beyond his peak, moved on to a team and still managed to win the seventh Super Bowl of his career with Tampa Bay - said at the ceremony: "Not many people thought we could win. I think 40 per cent still do not believe we won."
Biden replied, "I understand that," to the laughter of those present.
And Brady continued, "We had a game in Chicago where I forgot what a down we were, I lost concentration on one down in a 21-year career, and suddenly they started calling me 'Sleepy Tom.'"
