The British Olympic team announced that the world's number one shooter, Amber Hill, withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics today, after a positive Corona test result appeared before travel.
Reuters quoted Hill as saying: "I am devastated. There are no words to express how I feel now. After 5 years of training and preparation, I received a positive result for a Covid-19 test last night, which means that I am withdrawing from the British shooting team."
"I will be back, but for now I need time to come to terms with what happened," said the 23-year-old.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games silver medalist Hill was the most experienced British shooting team.
