Schumacher's first car in Formula 1 was neither a Benetton nor a Ferrari.

It's a green Jordan 191 Ford.

Before his debut in Spa on August 25, 1991, Michael Schumacher did some test laps in the Jordan at Silverstone * in preparation.

organized this goosebumps moment for the anniversary.

Mick Schumacher was allowed into his father's first F1 cockpit in Silverstone, of all places.

"I'm in my dad's car - Vroom, vroom," writes Schumi junior on Instagram.

The premiere in the green racing car was short in 1991.

Michael Schumacher, who shone by taking seventh place on the grid, retired on the first lap of the race with a damaged clutch.

It was to be his only race in the Jordan, after which he moved to Benetton.

The deposit in Jordan was not Mick's first demo drive in his father's GP car: In 2017, the 22-year-old was allowed to drive out in Spa in the Benetton B194, in which the seven-time world champion won his first title.

And the Formula 2 champion was also allowed to drive the Ferrari F2004 twice - in Hockenheim in 2019 and in Mugello a year later.

Schumi junior also tests regularly on the Ferrari home track in Fiorano.
