Michael Numberger from Dorfen will strengthen Moosburg's defense. That's good - it's less good that a big guy announced the end of his career.

Michael Numberger from Dorfen will strengthen Moosburg's defense.

That's good - it's less good that a big guy announced the end of his career.

Moosburg

- We are talking about Peter Abstreiter.

The 41-year-old striker is leaving after an impressive professional career.

Abstreiter played in the DEL for Munich, Hamburg, Kassel, Straubing and Mannheim - and of course at his hometown club EV Landshut, where he helped win the league championship in 2018/19.

In the past two years, the attacker let his EVM career end and formed a dangerous storm duo with Miloslav Horava.

Numberger played over 400 times for Bayernligist Dorfen

Moosburg's newcomer Michael Numberger wore the Dorfener dress for over 20 years, he had learned to skate there in the offspring.

Since 2006, the 33-year-old defender has played in more than 400 games for the ESC in the Bayern League.

At the regional league team from the Dreirosenstadt, Numberger and Petr Horava will ensure the necessary calm and experience in the defense network, the club's leaders are sure of that.

Vincenz Maier will also appear again for the Moosburg defense in the new season: The 23-year-old came from EV Landshut up the Isar in 2018 and is thus going into his fifth season in the green and yellow jersey.

Lars Eigner, however, is no longer available: The 23-year-old all-rounder is moving to the Ingolstadt area for professional reasons and is looking for a new club there.

The ice age begins in the Clariant Arena in mid-August

In March, EV Moosburg and the Horava brothers announced their contingent players for the next season at an early stage.

It was also possible to sign Daniel Schander, a spectacular newcomer for the storm.

According to those responsible at the Green-Yellows, the talks with the regulars from last season are very promising.

In the coming weeks, further extensions are to be wrapped up, so that coach Bernie Englbrecht is expected to be able to go onto the ice of the Clariant Arena with a full squad in mid-August.
