The Spanish club Barcelona has officially announced that it will face its Italian counterpart, Juventus, on the eighth of next August, in the framework of the Joan Gamper Cup 2021, which will be held in the presence of about 20,000 fans.
The meeting witnessed the first public attendance in the Camp Nou, the stronghold of the Spanish club, since the 7th of March of last year due to Corona, when it won a clean goal against Real Sociedad in the League, with the goal of Lionel Messi from a penalty kick.
It is possible that the match will see the Argentine Messi and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo face to face if the two players extend their contract with their team.
The match between Barcelona and Juventus in the cup is preceded by another match between the two clubs' women's teams, to be the first historically that a women's match has been held in the tournament.
