Manchester United Football Club announced today the extension of the contract of its 48-year-old Norwegian coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, to continue the relationship between the two parties until 2024, with the possibility of extending for an additional year.
"Everyone knows how I feel about this club, and I am very happy to sign the new contract," Solskjaer said in a statement, noting that his team combines in a balanced manner the elements of experience and youth who aspire to achieve success.
Solskjaer made more than 200 appearances for United as a player before taking over as coach, and under Solskjaer's leadership, United finished second in the English Premier League last season.
