Australian Ashleigh Barty out of the Tokyo Olympics in the first round

The Australian tennis player, ranked first in the world, Ashleigh Barty, today called the Tokyo Olympics in the first round, losing to Spaniard Sarah Sorribes Tormo.

And Sky Sports reported that Barty lost to Tormo 6-4, 6-3.

While Barty's bid to become the first Australian to win gold at the Olympics racquetball ended in failure, she and partner Storm Sanders qualified for the women's doubles second round.
