Spanish motorcycle rider Hugo Millan, 14, died Sunday during a youth race at the Motorland Aragon circuit near Alcaniz (Spain), the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) said in a statement.

After a serious accident during the European Talent Cup on the Motorland Aragon circuit, it is with great sadness that we announce the death of driver Hugo Millan,
” said the FIM.
Hit by another motorbike while getting up
Millan fell off his bike 13 laps from time.
The Spanish pilot tried to get up immediately after his fall but did not have time to get off the track.
Another motorcycle then crashed into his, hitting him in the neck and back.
The red flag immediately rose, bringing the race to a halt.
After receiving emergency treatment on the track, Millan was transferred to the circuit medical center.
La Cuna de Campeones, the pilot school that trained Millan, lamented a "

in a statement.

The European Talent Cup is one of the categories of the FIM CEV, an international championship for teenage motorcycle riders, which allows them to progress towards entering the professional circuit. The motorcycle world was already in mourning last May when 19-year-old Swiss rider Jason Dupasquier crashed to death at the Moto3 Italian Grand Prix.
