The dream day continues for swordsman Romain Cannone!
After taking out the Russian Sergey Bida in the quarter-finals (15-12), one of the leaders of the discipline, the Frenchman defeated the Ukrainian Ihor Reizlin.
Cannone had shot first but the Ukrainian came back well at the end of the first third (5-5).
After a close second part of the game, the Frenchman finally broke away to win 15-10. The fencer is sure to leave Tokyo with a medal.
The final is scheduled for around 2.15pm.
