Eliminate mistakes, use scoring opportunities: SE Freising has to do a few things better in Erlbach

The regional league footballers of SE Freising have the next strong opponent in front of their next strong opponent after the 2: 5 bankruptcy against TSV Kastl with SV Erlbach.

Freising

- A few minutes after the kick-off game on Saturday afternoon, Florian Bittner could already laugh a little.

The co-player-coach of SE Freising was romping around with his little son in front of the tartan track.

Immediately after the national league game, his mood was very different.

"I'm not saying anything today," grumbled Bittner as he stomped off the lawn.

"There's nothing to gloss over."

What happened?

Sure, the footballers of SE Freising had one of the promotion favorites in front of their chests with TSV Kastl.

In the end - and that will have worried some players - the well-known and strong team from the Altötting district was not as hopelessly inferior as the 2: 5 final result suggests.

However: It was not the young, inexperienced players who lagged far behind their possibilities on Saturday, but rather the experienced kickers - such as Florian Bittner.

Freising opens the gates for Kastl

It was the 18th minute of the game when Bittner made the first of three bad blunders that afternoon.

The 30-year-old had the ball completely undisturbed and played a pass that even e-juniors do not learn to play.

The ball landed on a TSV player, Kastl countered and scored the 1-1 equalizer.

“I don't know what I saw,” said Bittner, shaking his head.

The second (26th) and third goals against (45th + 4) went to Bittner's cap.

The 2: 4 caused defense chief and oldie Michael Schmid with a similar blunder (77th), and the 2: 5 shortly before the end, the co-captain has to be chalked up with Jonas Mayr.

Bittner: "This time I lost the game all by myself."

In the end, Bittner answered the questions all the more relentlessly - and did not want to avoid the bush.

"The game," he concluded, "I lost this time all by myself."

Without a doubt, TSV Kastl had the better playing system in this game, was tactically more mature and had the more experienced players on their side.

However, the bottom line was that the 5-2 defeat was far too high.

In addition - and this gives hope to the SEF kickers - it would have been possible to win points.

"We were punished mercilessly," said coach Alex Plabst.

“It was also annoying that the experienced players of all people had messed up.” Not the young players like newcomer Sebastian Niedermayer, who made a great debut and even contributed to the 1-0 lead.

So what can the SEF take away for the away game on Tuesday (8 p.m.) at the next heavyweight division in the league, SV Erlbach?

“The first 20 minutes were pretty decent,” said Plabst.

“And it was positive that our new players have settled in so well.” The coach added that “we have to make better use of our goal chances”.

Because the SEF could have scored more hits.

In the end, that was one of the factors that led to the defeat.

Possible setup:

SE Freising:

Negele - Aiteniora, Schmid, Mayr, Zanker - Bittner - Manhart, Tiric, Geuenich, Niedermayer - Brudtloff.
