Olympics, Triathlon (M): no medal for the Blues

The Frenchwoman will face the Canadian Klimkait (10:15 am) for a place in the final.

Sailing (F): Picon wins the fifth windsurfing regatta


Ninth in the first regatta of the day, Charline Picon has set the record straight.

The Frenchwoman has just won the fifth regatta, with more than thirty seconds on the competition.

Swimming (M): France 6th in the 4x100m relay, the title for the USA

The Japanese Momiji Nishiya, 13, became the first Olympic champion in the history of skateboarding, an additional sport at the 2020 Olympics, in the street ladies category, Monday in Tokyo, ahead of the Brazilian Rayssa Leal (13) and the Japanese Funa Nakayama (16 years old).

Nishiya, silver medalist at the 2021 Worlds and who will celebrate her 14th birthday on August 30, is not the youngest champion in the history of the Olympics.

The precocity record has been held since 1936 by the American Marjorie Gestring, crowned in diving at 13 years and 267 days.

JO, Surf (F): Defay comes out in the eighth A

The Norwegian triathlete was crowned Olympic champion of the discipline but Kristian Blummenfelt (27 years old) left feathers there. At the end of his rope after crossing the finish line, the Bergen native started vomiting as he lay on the ground and tried to recover after an incredible effort. Unable to get up and walk despite the support of New Zealander Wilde and Briton Yee, Blummenfelt was eventually evacuated in a wheelchair. More fear than harm because a few minutes later, the Norwegian was able to recover his medal and climb on the podium.
