Russian Khramchev wins gold in taekwondo at Tokyo Olympics

TOKYO, SANA- Russian taekwondo player Maxim Khrushchev won the gold medal for the men's under 80 kg category.

Russian taekwondo player Maxim Khrushchev won the men's under 80kg gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

Khramchev won the gold medal after defeating the Jordanian national team player, Saleh Al-Sharbati, in the final match, 20-9. The latter was satisfied with winning the silver medal.

The bronze medal went to Egyptian Seif Issa, who in turn beat Norway's Andre Ordmann 12-4 to win the second medal for Egypt in the current Olympic Games.
