After landing a first score of 8.33, Medina rushed forward to place a second score and on top of a wave, the Brazilian unleashed an impeccable 360 (aerial figure in full rotation). Surely the most beautiful wave of these Olympics. The judges have also validated and awarded the score of 9/10 to the Auriverde surfer. Unfortunately, Medina achieved this against Frenchman Bourez and opened wide the doors to the semi-finals.
