The radiant happiness of Clarisse Agbegnenou illuminated the overcast Tokyo Tuesday.
Five years she waited to be able to win the Olympic title, the only one that was still missing from her extraordinary record, alongside her five world crowns and her five Europeans.
In Rio, in 2016, she stumbled in the final against the Slovenian Tina Trstenjak.
The same one she hugged at the end of the under 63 kg final in Tokyo, as part of the majestic Nippon Budokan, the Mecca of world judo.
