Spanish gymnast Roxana Popa Nedelcu suffered a dramatic fall on Tuesday during her uneven bars program in the team competition won by the Russians.

In a trick of releasing the highest bar and performing a back somersault before hanging on again, the athlete failed to recover and fell violently to the ground on the chest. Fortunately, the protective mats more than absorbed the shock. So much so that the person immediately got up, with no apparent sore.
