The messages of congratulations did not take long to pour in after the magnificent Olympic title of Clarisse Agbégnénou, crowned in -63kg on Tuesday.
But there is one that does not quite have the same value as the others, that of double (and soon to be triple) Olympic champion, Teddy Riner.
The Rio flag bearer did not hang around to twitter his congratulations to that of Tokyo.
" Wonderful !
You deserve it so much, all this crazy work done during these years has paid off, and in the style.
So happy for you proud of our flag bearer.

Finally crowned Olympic champion, facing the opponent who had beaten her in the final in Rio five years ago, Agbegnenou completes an exceptional record, with five world championship titles and as many in Europe.
Finally, the queen of world judo was dedicated to the Games.
The Frenchwoman becomes the 13th gold medal in judo for France at the Olympic Games (Men and Women combined).
Among women, she joins Cécile Nowak, Cathy Fleury, Marie-Claire Restoux, Séverine Vandenhende, Lucie Décosse and Émilie Andéol as Olympic champion.
