For the Swiss sprinter Alex Wilson, the Tokyo Olympic Games ran ahead of schedule.
Only two days after his alleged European record was not recognized, the International Sports Court Cas resumed the doping ban imposed on him in March on Wednesday.
The native Jamaican is not allowed to walk until the end of the procedure.
His record runs were only recently revoked
The prohibited substance trenbolone was found in a doping test in the 31-year-old in March. Wilson attributed this to the consumption of contaminated meat. The disciplinary body for doping cases at Swiss Olympic suspended the provisional ban that was initially imposed at the beginning of July, but the World Athletics Federation and the World Anti-Doping Agency Wada appealed last week.
Meanwhile, on July 18, Wilson ran a small meeting in the US over 100 meters (9.84 seconds) faster than the European record and also over 200 meters (19.89) a peak time.
In view of the video recordings and Wilson's previous best values (10.08 / 19.98), however, there were clear doubts about the correctness of the measurement - also with Wilson and his trainer.
In the end, neither the Swiss nor the European federation recognized the record runs.
