The German Olympic team did not get more than 1: 1 (0: 0) in their last group game against Ivory Coast and thus missed the quarter-finals.
Benjamin Henrichs' own goal gave the Ivorians (67th minute) the lead, Eduard Löwen only managed to equalize with a free kick (73rd).
After the silver medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, the 2021 Olympic football tournament for the DFB team will end after the group stage.
