The activities of the sixth edition of the Army Show Jumping Equestrian Championship will open today at the Olympic Stadium in the Martyr Bassel Al-Assad Equestrian Club in Dimas, rural Damascus, with the participation of riders of all categories.
The tournament will be held over four days for all categories, and the Army Equestrian Champion is the winner of the last day’s result, noting that the daily results of all riders are recorded during the matches of their categories to calculate their points.
The opening ceremony of the championship is preceded by a competition for the traffic and preparatory categories at Al-Aghar Hall. Tomorrow, showjumping competitions will begin for the children’s category with a height of 80 cm, the mini-tour category with a height of 100 cm, the Amator category with a height of 110 cm, small tour 115 cm, medium tour 125 cm and Big Tour 135 cm.
On Friday, the championship matches will be completed by holding relay competitions for a height of 105 and 120 cm and gradual difficulties for a height of 135 cm with the Joker barrier that reaches a height of 150 cm. .
With the Grand Prix match for the 145cm Big Tour category next Sunday, the tournament concludes with the two final matches for the 125cm Small Tour and 135cm Medium Tour being preceded on the same day.
The jockey Ahmed Hamsho won the Fifth Army Day Championship title for the upper category of the 140 cm category, while the jockey Aya Hamsho won the title of the 130 cm category championship, and the jockey Laith Al Ali won the title of the 120 cm category.
