It almost looked as if Jonathan Rommelmann and Jason Osborne could beat the Irish superstars in the lightweight double sculls at the Olympics 2021 *.
In the end, it wasn't quite for gold, so the duo had to be content with second place.
With silver, however, Rommelmann and Osborne give the German Rowing Association (DRV) its first medal at the Summer Games *.
Bronze went to Italy.
Rommelmann / Osborne have been in the boat together since 2019 and in the same year they won gold at the European Championships and bronze at the World Championships.
In the following two years, the duo from Krefeld and Mainz also won silver twice at European championships.
