PSG: Mbappé still uncertain for the Champions Trophy

2021-07-30T17:19:46.766Z

The striker is not yet assured of a trip to Tel Aviv (Israel) to face Lille. Just like Kimpembe, Wijnaldum and Danilo.

Mauricio Pochettino and his staff will wait until the last moment to establish the group that will leave Saturday afternoon for Tel Aviv (Israel), where the Champions Trophy will take place against Lille on Sunday.

The suspense around the presence of Kylian Mbappé, Danilo and Georginio Wijnaldum remains unresolved.

The four players have only resumed training for a week and must therefore continue their preparation.

Similar situation for Presnel Kimpembe, back since Monday at Camp des Loges.

But even in the event of presence, none will start as holder.

This Friday, twenty-six players were present for the collective training open before the Champions Trophy, including Juan Bernat who continues to work to return to competition in September. They will not all board the plane to Tel Aviv. But the young El Chadaille Bisthiabu, Ismaël Gharbi, Edouard Michut or Xavi Simons will be part of the adventure. It remains to be seen which ones will start the first official meeting of the season.

Three absent from the pro workforce this Friday: Sergio Ramos (calf), Rafinha (knee) and Colin Dagba (ankle). They are already dismissed for the shock against the champions of France. The group will take the plane on Saturday afternoon after a last training session on Saturday morning at Camp des Loges. PSG are planning to stay at the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv. The meeting will take place at Bloomfield Stadium at 8 p.m. PST on Sunday.
