Russian swimmer Yevgeny Rylov won the gold medal in the 200-meter swim at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.
Rylov set a new Olympic record of 1:53.27, leaving the silver medal for American Ryan Murphy, who finished second with a time of 1:54.15, while the bronze medal went to British swimmer Luke Greenban with 1:54.72.
Rylov, 24, won his second personal gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics and the ninth for the Russian team so far in these games, with 12 silver and 9 bronze medals.
