Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic announced today that he withdrew from the doubles match to determine third place and win the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
The International Tennis Federation stated in a tweet on its Twitter page that the reason behind the withdrawal of the world number one is a shoulder injury.
Earlier today, Djokovic lost the match for third place in the men's singles against Spanish Pablo Carreno Busta, by two sets to one.
