Tokyo Olympics: huge feat of French judokas, crowned Olympic team champions!

In the final, the Blues swept over Japan (4-1), huge favorites of the competition. 18th medal for France!


French judokas are at home in Japan!

The Blues are crowned Olympic champions in the mixed team competition, after a demonstration against the Japanese, big favorites in this event.

The game had started in the best possible way for the French clan.

First to appear on the tatami, Clarisse Agbégnénou beat with authority Chiruzu Arai, yet crowned in the - 70 kg category, the higher category than the French Olympic champion.

There followed a big fight between Axel Clerget and Shoichiro Mukai, beautifully won and finished in golden score by the French on ippon.

Eight medals for French judo in Tokyo

Bronze medalist in individual, and imperial since the start of the day, Romane Dicko gave in to Akira Soné, crowned in his category of over 78 kg, but Teddy Riner put the Blues back in the right dynamic, by winning the golden score against Aaron Wolf.

A collective reward which comes to conclude in style a very fruitful week for the Blues, who return from Tokyo with eight medals.
