Two days after the silver medal won by the foil players, the sabers qualified for the final of their team tournament by beating Italy, 45-39.
They are guaranteed to win, at a minimum, the silver medal.

After a solid start to the meeting, the Bleues were very scared, during the 7th stint, where Charlotte Lembach conceded 18 touches (!) Against Michella Battiston ... The advance of the France team was then considerably reduced, Manon Brunet entering the track three strokes ahead.
Final against Russia
The very recent bronze medalist in individual did not miss her relay, putting the Blue to +7 before the last confrontation.
CĂ©cilia Berder, despite a sluggish start to the fight (led 5-2), finished the job, to offer a second success in two games for the Blues!
The final will start at 12:30 pm and the French will meet the team from the Russian Olympic Committee which crushed South Korea (45-26), in the other semi-final.
