Stephan Fürst is Mister BC Attaching, reliability in person and always present when the club is in trouble.

Attaching

- A little more than 30 years ago, Stephan Fürst, then four years old, started Bambini training at the Ball Club Attaching.

As a result, he has played as an active player for his club since the F-youth and is going into his tenth season as an assistant coach at the regional league team in the 21/22 season.

This means that the now 35-year-old industrial clerk, who is only called “Prince” by everyone, is a kind of institution at BC Attaching.

Both on and off the pitch, there hardly seems to be anything that he hasn't already played or done. “Stephan is an unbelievable personality at BCA, who guides young players with his likeable, sociable manner and is well received by everyone. In addition, he assumes responsibility as an assistant coach and has an incredible idea of football, “lets us know from his long-time companion and new attaching head of football, Marcus Brunnhuber. "He takes care of everything that arises in the club and is not too bad for anything."

Fürst is one of the last active players of the "golden generation" in Attaching.

He and his buddies like Martin Ricks, Marcus Brunnhuber, Michael Rosenwirth, Daniele Chezzi, Alex Ricks and Dominik Widmann played three years in the regional league and one year in the regional upper league (10/11).

Most of them already friends from school days.

And one reason for Stephan Fürst why he never changed clubs.

It was just fun to play football together in the senior sector too.

He only thought seriously about a change at the end of his youth.

Remained loyal to the club even in bad times

At that time he was appointed to various selection courses and was then allowed to complete trial training at higher-class clubs such as 1860 Munich or Unterhaching. An offer came from some of them, but in the end he preferred to stay with his club and, in retrospect, did not regret it, said the 35-year-old industrial clerk. “Attaching is my second family,” says the “Prince” with conviction. Therefore, even after relegation from the district league, he never thought of changing and continuing to play higher-class elsewhere. Back then, 2012 was a difficult time for the club. Many players would have left Attaching after only a year or two. It was important to get the club back into calm waters. He has succeeded to this day. Whether as a central defender,Striker, midfielder, youth coach, substitute physio, assistant coach, role model or father substitute. Stephan Fürst seems to be universally applicable.

He actually played on the offensive in his youth, but the coaches were happy that he always helped out where there was need. The 35-year-old family man had his most spectacular season 13/14 in the district league. Because there was no real striker in the squad, coach Nils Haack put him at the front. At the end of the season, the statistics showed 21 goals and nine assists for the new "Attaching Bomber". He scored five goals in the game against SE Freising's second team. So it is quite possible that the “Prince” will have to go hunting for goals again in the coming season after the departure of Al Hosaini and Prokisch. In any case, the current BCA trainer Enes Mehmedovic knows what he has in his 35-year-old assistant trainer and trusts him absolutely. “Fürste always gives 110 percent, no matter where you set it up.And he always does his job well. ”Mehmedovic also praised the ambition and game intelligence of his all-rounder.

Exemplary attitude to sport

In addition, Stephan Fürst has an exemplary approach to his sport that is rarely found today. He finds it difficult to accept the many vacation-related bottlenecks in the squad because he doesn't enjoy the vacation himself when preparatory or point games are on the agenda. Even numerous injuries could never keep the “prince” away from the football field longer than absolutely necessary. At 35, he still enjoys being on the pitch, says Fürst. Even if he no longer has six soccer games a week as he used to. Because of work and family, for example, the job of a youth coach was too much at some point. Some of these children, whom Stephan Fürst trained in the E-Youth, are now on the field with him at BC Attaching in the district league. "That's crazy, but also somehow nice! "thinks the BCA co-trainer. As a player, he would like to stay fit and healthy and thus still play one or the other game in the regional league.

Stephan Fürst will tackle a major goal after his active career has ended.

Then he would like to take over a team as head coach.

It remains to be seen whether this will be the BC Attaching.

But most of the BCA are sure that the “Prince” will do this job in the club at some point.
