Gold for foil!
The French men's foil team won the team gold medal on Sunday.
The Blues won against the Russians (45-28).
This is the fifth gold medal of the French delegation at these Japanese Olympics, the 21st all metal combined.
The French therefore take their revenge since they lost in the final against the Russians in 2016 in Rio.
It was in Sydney in 2000 that France won the title for the last time.
With this fifth gold medal, the Tricolores pass seventh in the medal table.
It is the fifth medal that the fencers brought back to France in this Olympiad.
