A match that was not friendly on the edge of the field. On Saturday night, Olympique de Marseille faced Villarreal in their last preparation match before the championship resumes next weekend. In a once again hot Stade Velodrome (30,000 spectators allowed), OM won (2-1), taking advantage in particular of the exclusion of Foyth on the Spanish side after returning from the locker room (47th). A sanction that put Unai Emery beside himself. The former PSG coach, copiously whistled by OM supporters on Saturday night, attacked the referee and then Jorge Sampaoli. Waving his hand, the Spaniard insulted his Chilean counterpart who wanted to get closer to him to do battle. Members of OM's management prevented him from doing so. Emery, him, finished the match in the stands, expelled by the referee.
