Italian sprinter Lamont Jacobs won the gold medal in the 100-meter sprint at the Tokyo Olympics.

According to Sky Sports, Jacobs was the first sprinter in the history of his country to win the 100m gold.

Jacobs succeeded with this victory the Jamaican legend Usain Bolt, who dominated this race in the last three editions between 2008 and 2016.
