Like Samir Aït Saïd's injury on Monday on the rings, Adam Gemili experienced similar misfortunes during his 200m.
Injured during his warm-up, the British sprinter tried to take the start, but suffering caught up with him.
The 2014 European distance champion still wanted to finish the race by walking, his eyes overwhelmed by emotion.

Gemili injured her tendon during her last warm-up start test.
“I just told the doctor to strap me on, let me compete and try.
I had to at least try, ”the athlete told the BBC in tears.
From the start, the sprinter stopped immediately, but wanted to finish the race by walking, in 1′58, more than a minute and thirty seconds from the winner.

In the 200m heats, the two American favorites Kenneth Bednarek and Noah Lyles set the best times in 20′'01 and 20′'18.
Apart from the elimination of Adam Gemili, there were no big surprises.
No Frenchman was involved in the distance.
