The Montreal Tennis Championships in Canada announced today that Japan's Naomi Osaka has withdrawn from the competition that begins next week.
The organizers of the tournament said in a statement that Osaka, ranked second in the world in tennis, withdrew from the Montreal Championship after the end of her participation in the Olympic Games currently being held in Tokyo.
The world expected to see Osaka in the Montreal Tennis Championships after she came out of the depression she had experienced in the last period and withdrew from Roland Garros and also missed Wimbledon, but she surprised everyone with her decision.
