Tokyo - Damian Warner is the new king of athletes!

In the decathlon at the Olympics * there was no herb against the 31-year-old Canadian.

With 9018 points, Warner set a new Olympic record.

"That's crazy.

Since I was a child, I've dreamed of winning a gold medal at the Olympics, ”he said exhausted after the final 1,500-meter run.

Helcelet noticed that his facial hair was very popular and revealed the secret.

“In 2018 our country celebrated its 100th anniversary as a republic.

So I wanted to grow my mustache the way people used to wear it, ”he explained.

"My friends hate him, but I love him!" He jokes.

In the women's heptathlon, Carolin Schäfer made it into the top ten and came in seventh.

The swimmers had reason to cheer: Florian Wellbrock triumphed in an extreme discipline.

There was also excitement in Tokyo about a chauffeur who committed a hit-and-run.
