The top division can continue to plan with a player who is already in his eighth season at the ECP.

Peiting

- The EC Peiting had largely completed its personnel planning for the upcoming league season.

The only open question was what would happen to Captain Andreas Feuerecker.

The answer was given by those responsible for the ECP at the annual meeting last Wednesday.

The unsurprising answer was: Feuerecker will also wear the Peitinger jersey in the 2021/22 season.

"He was almost traditionally courted by other clubs, but he has traditionally remained steadfast," said ECP spokesman Simon Fritzenschaft after the club and the players had agreed to continue working together.

Since he became captain, he has become even more important as a leader.

Peiting's trainer Anton Saal on Andreas Feuerecker.

In 2013, the now 29-year-old Wallgauer from EV Regensburg came to the Pfaffenwinklers. "It's already my eighth year here in Peiting, it's amazing how time flies," said Feuerecker, who, despite the one or other injury break, has now made 291 top division games for EC Peiting and 442 in total. “We are very happy that he extended. He's an absolute role model, ”said team manager Gordon Borberg about the defender, whose incredible fitness is almost legendary. "He is well trained, and with his power and his ambition he pulls the whole team with him," enthuses the new ECP coach Anton Saal about his long-time team colleague and successor in the captaincy. "Since he became captain, he has become even more important as a leading player," continued Saal. For him, Feuerecker is of enormous importance as a cornerstone of the defense. The Wallgauer also has offensive qualities. In the last season alone, he recorded an impressive 29 scorer points (6 goals / 23 assists) in 29 games. "It would take a while to list his strengths," Borberg said. He describes Feuerecker as a complete player who is a perfect match for the Peitingers, both in terms of sport and in terms of people.

In the coming season, Feuerecker will be even more of a focus.

"He will hold our store together in the back and throw the first overpaid team," revealed Coach Saal.

Feuerecker spares no effort to bring sport, work and private life under one roof.

"What he scrubs down kilometers is madness," says Borberg.

As a reminder: Feuerecker lives in his hometown Wallgau, his job is in Holzkirchen, and he still has his sporting home in Peiting.
