It wasn't enough to win the championship, but the SV Hohenfurch ladies' tennis players are satisfied with their performance in the district league.

It was also the last time that the players competed in this age group.

Hohenfurch - The tennis women at SV Hohenfurch are very satisfied with their results in the tennis season after the corona pandemic. In the district league, the top-class team from the Weilheim-Schongau district took fourth place among the women. This was a worthy farewell to this age group. The players will move up completely to the women's 30 for the coming season and they hope to be admitted to a higher league.

There was no getting past TC Tutzing, who became champion with a flawless record of 14: 0 points, and TC Pasing (12: 2) in the district league.

The Hohenfurchers had to admit defeat to these two teams - 4: 5 against Pasing, 0: 9 against Tutzing - as did TC Gauting (4: 5).

This contrasts with victories against SV Söcking (9: 0), STC Oberland (9: 0 without a fight), SV Lochhausen (7: 2) and finally against TC Bad Bayersoien (5: 4).

This gave the SVH women 8: 6 points.

Due to the slightly worse set ratio, however, they had to leave third place to SV Lochhausen.

Hohenfurch wins the derby 5: 4

The season ended successfully with the 5-4 derby win in Bad Bayersoien. The Hohenfurchers made the decision in their favor with two wins in the doubles. After the singles it was 3: 3. Claudia Hummel (6: 0, 6: 1 against Daria Nüssgen), Verena Götz (6: 2, 6: 0 against Margit Greinwald) and Bettina Müller (6: 1, 6-0 against Mona Spindler). On the other hand, Lejla Eisenschmid (2: 6, 2: 6 against Angelika Maier), Ulrike Krause (3: 6, 4: 6 against Doris Haseidl) and Regina Hefele (3: 6, 2: 6 against Veronika Maier) had to admit defeat. In the doubles, however, there was no longer any tension: Eisenschmid / Götz (6: 0, 6: 4 against V. Maier / Haseidl) won just as clearly as Hummel / Müller (6: 1, 6: 1 against Greinwald / Sonja Berchtenbreiter) ."We are very satisfied with fourth place, that was a good season for us," said Claudia Hummel, outlining the game year and preparing for future appearances in the women's 30s. “It is still in the stars where we will be grouped next season,” says Hummel. The district league is the lowest class for women 30, followed by the super district league.

They were less pleased with the behavior of the relegation-threatened TC Gauting, who played two women from the women's 30 against Hohenfurch, who are used in this age group in the regional league, the highest division in Bavaria. "They are in performance classes 3.1 and 4.9, which is almost in the professional field," explained Hummel. For comparison: their Hohenfurcher opponents Lejla Eisenschmid (10.1) and Ulrike Krause (13.1) are rated considerably lower. In the doubles, Gauting used two more regional league players. It speaks for the morale of the Hohenfurcher women that they were only defeated 4: 5.

The balance sheets of the Hohenfurch players in the 2021 season: Lejla Eisenschmid (singles 4: 3 / doubles 5: 2), Ulrike Krause (3: 4/4: 3), Tanja Wöhnl (1: 3/1: 2), Regina Hefele (5: 2/4: 3), Claudia Hummel (6: 1, 5: 2), Verena Götz (5: 2/5: 2), Bettina Müller (2: 0/3: 0).
