An athlete from Bavaria pursues several careers: She is an Instagram influencer and top athlete.
Now she is at the Olympics in Tokyo, but has to cope with a setback.
Ingolstadt / Tokyo - Alica Schmidt (22) from Ingolstadt has managed to be twice as successful for years.
On the one hand, the track and field athlete is a top athlete and she is at the Olympics in Tokyo.
She is also an Instagram star: Shortly before the summer games, she cracked the two million follower mark on Instagram.
And since then it has even climbed to 2.3 million subscribers.

Of course, she also documented the first days at the Olympics for her numerous followers on Instagram.
With the hashtag “Dreamscometrue” there was a video of the impressions.
In her story she smiled at the strange cardboard beds.
And she posted a series of pictures with a star photographer as Credit: Paul Hüttemann.
In terms of sport, however, it could be better: As she announced to her fans on Instagram on Thursday, the women's 4x400 meter relay will take place without her.
She didn't manage to secure a place in the quartet and instead keeps her fingers crossed for her colleagues.
“I am so grateful for all of the love and support I received on this trip.
Now I can hardly wait to cheer on my girls today and hope that we will make it to the Olympic final! "

Olympia for Alica Schmidt a "dream come true"
Alica Schmidt was born in Worms and came to Ingolstadt when she was one year old.
In 2018 she left Bavaria and first moved to SC Potsdam, then to SCC Berlin.
The 22-year-old was
full of anticipation
before the Olympia adventure to the
Donaukurier
: “It is a dream come true.
For moments like these I train several hours a day. "
In the interview, she also revealed how she manages her career as an influencer with that of a high-class athlete.
“Instagram is a full-time job and I like to take people with me as often as I can, but sport is clearly my top priority,” she explains.
And humbly means that she would not call herself famous.
