Damascus-SANA
The interventions of the annual conference of the Football Association, which was held at the headquarters of the Football Association in Damascus, focused on the need to financially support clubs, especially those that play in the Premier League, and to increase interest in age groups.
The members of the conference demanded more attention to women's football and futsal in the clubs that practice them and support them financially, and to reconsider the work of the football academies and their mechanism of action.
The President of the Football Association, Brigadier General Hatem Al-Ghayeb, pointed out the importance of raising the compensation of referees in the next season and the need to focus on the age groups in the clubs, noting the continuous coordination with the Asian Federation to support local clubs, and at the same time stressing the need to cooperate with those clubs to advance Syrian football.
During the conference, the annual report was discussed, which included what was accomplished during the previous season, most notably the preparations of the men's team during its journey in the double Asian qualifiers for the Asian Cup and the World Cup, the results it achieved on its way to qualifying for the Asian finals and the decisive role in qualifying for the World Cup.
