On Friday, FC Bayern should open the new season for the first division soccer team at its DFB Cup first round match at Bremer SV.

However, nothing will come of this, as there was a corona incident at the fifth division.

Nevertheless, the new season really starts with the first competitive games of the Bundesliga clubs on the weekend.

On Friday next week, August 13th, the champions will come to an opening game after all.

The Munich team initiate the new Bundesliga season in Mönchengladbach.

Two weeks later, the women will start their new season with the game Hoffenheim against Freiburg.

The respective Champions League competitions begin in September and October.

But where can you watch all the games?

We give an overview:

Bundesliga

Sky

is still dominant when it comes to broadcasting the

men's Bundesliga

.

The pay TV broadcaster broadcasts all individual games on Saturday as well as games on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The station will also show all the games in the conference on these days.

There is also the Supercup and the relegation at Sky.

All games

can be seen

on

DAZN

on Fridays and Sundays

.

Some games are also broadcast on free TV by

Sat. 1

, which has secured the rights for individual games on the 1st, 17th and 18th matchdays as well as in relegation and Supercup.

The rights for summaries of the Bundesliga games are shared by

ARD

,

ZDF

,

Sport 1

and

Axel Springer

.

In the

women's Bundesliga

, not much has changed compared to the previous season.

Magenta

continues to show all games, individual games are broadcast by

ARD

and

third-party

programs

.

2nd Bundesliga

Most of the games in the 2nd Bundesliga

can also be seen

on

Sky

, live and in the conference.

The station broadcasts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as during the relegation games.

The newly introduced games on Saturday evening at 8.30 p.m. will also be shown on Sky, but will also run in parallel on free TV on

Sport 1

.

3rd league

In

addition to the women's Bundesliga,

Magenta

is primarily the partner of the 3rd division - and will remain so in the new season: All games are streamed as single games and in the conference.

86 games will also be shown on free TV on ARD channels over the course of the season.

The planning of the transfers for the first appointments can be found here.

DFB Cup

Anyone

interested in

the men's competition

will be well catered for.

Sky

shows all 63 games live, while

ARD

broadcasts nine games per season on free TV.

There will be one in each of the first two rounds, plus two games from the eighth and semi-finals and the final itself.

Sport 1

also broadcasts one game per round from the first round to the quarter-finals

on free TV

.

As usual, the women's trophy doesn't get that much space on the screens.

Six games, the highlight of every main round including the final in Cologne, will be broadcast on

Sky

.

Champions League

From the new season onwards, the

games of the

premier class of men

will mainly

be seen

at

DAZN

.

121 of the 137 games per season will be broadcast on the streaming service over the next two seasons.

DAZN also offers viewers conferences and highlights.

DAZN is replacing Sky, but - as they were last - a competitor who takes over some games.

Amazon Prime

enters the competition and shows the respective top game on Tuesday evening.

A total of 16 games, including two playoff games, will be shown there.

ZDF has

also secured the broadcasting rights

for the three upcoming finals

- even if, as recently, there is no German representative in the final.

The

women's Champions League

will also

show

DAZN in the

future

.

The streaming service secured the rights for the next four seasons.

In the premiere season, DAZN wants to

cooperate

with

YouTube

and show all 61 games free of charge on its channel.

A mixed model of freely available videos and subscription is planned for the future.
