Opponents before becoming teammates.
The Canadians Jordyn Huitema, Ashley Lawrence and the Swedish Amanda Ilestedt will face each other this Friday (2 p.m.) in the final of the women's Olympic football tournament in Tokyo.
And in a few days, they will share the same locker room at PSG, the reigning French champion team.
In any case, the capital club will be adorned with gold and silver.
Enough to complete the bronze brought back by Ashley Lawrence, already, in 2016 at the Rio Games.
Honor to the two Canadians, in red and blue since 2017 (Lawrence) and 2019 (Huitema).
The first, lateral to the right or to the left, is a framework of the Parisian club and its selection.
In the semifinals of the Olympic tournament, against the United States (1-0), she celebrated her 100th cap with Canada.
"This match was really special for me," she tells the Fifa site.
This is the first time that I have won against the United States and it is the first time that we have beaten them at the Olympics.
(…) It's such an honor every time to play with this selection, so to celebrate my hundredth with such a victory, it's extraordinary.

Described as a "key" player for Canada by her coach, Bev Priestman, Ashley Lawrence is aiming for nothing other than first place: "Our eyes are on gold".
What if the 26-year-old was helped by Jordyn Huitema to win that gold?
The attacker does not start with Canada, nor with PSG.
But she is only 20 years old and has real qualities of percussion and finishing which could be useful at the end of the match.
While his future is uncertain with PSG (Bayern Munich wants to attract him), Huitema lives with happiness this first Olympic experience, encouraged from a distance by his companion, the Canadian left side of Bayern Alphonso Davies.

And after eliminating their Brazilian friend and ex-teammate Formiga in the quarter-finals, here are the Canadians facing the Swedish Amanda Ilestdet, recruited by PSG from Bayern.
Like Lawrence, the 28-year-old central defender is an executive in her selection.
In Paris, she will have the difficult task of replacing captain Irene Paredes who left for Barça.
In the meantime, Ilestdet will try to win Sweden's first gold medal at the Olympics.
In 2016, she was absent from the adventure that led the Scandinavians to the final against Germany.
In 2012, Sweden finished fourth in the tournament.

And that may not be all for PSG. Because the goalkeeper of Canada Stéphanie Labbé, 34, is in the sights of the Parisian club and could well arrive in reinforcement this summer. She has been evolving in recent months with Rosengard… in Sweden.
