The France of basketball got up early, this Saturday morning, to attend one of the greatest matches in the history of co-tricolor sports, in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. But the US armada, carried by the NBA superstar Kevin Durant, finally got the better of French hopes for five small points, at the end of a game however hung, especially in the money-time.

Despite a big match from Rudy Gobert (16pts, 8rbds) inside, Kevin Durant's 29 points stunned the Blues punished for their 18 ball losses.

Led for more than three quarters, the France team had managed to return to three points in the last seconds of the game, but the American address on the free throw line completed the success of Gregg Popovich's men.

Nelly Korda titled at the end of the suspense

No miracle in a marathon

Born Kenyan before being naturalized French, Susan Kipsang Jeptooo holds a personal marathon record of 2h48′28 ″, which would have allowed her to integrate the top 5 of the Olympic event disputed early in the Japanese morning.

But the result is much less exciting at the finish, with a 38th place in 2h36′29 ″.

Far ahead, the Kenyans achieved a double and Peres Jepchirchir was adorned with gold, she who performs more in the usual half-marathon.
