02:14: Eliud Kipchoge
has won the marathon competition of the Games in Sapporo.
The 36-year-old Kenyan repeated his success in Rio 2016 in 2: 08.37 hours. Decisive for his success was an increase in pace after 30 kilometers, with which the world record holder got rid of the competition.
Silver went to

(Netherlands, +1: 20), bronze went to

(Belgium, 1:22).
