The Olympic Games are the project of a lifetime for athletes.
Since 2015, they have been the project of a city.
And much more.
An idea sown by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee in 2012 which received the support of the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo three years later.
The City of Light's desire to put the rings back together was strong (after failures for the 1992, 2008 and 2012 Olympics) to host the Summer Games, a hundred years later.
But not at any cost.
The colossal challenge will be to respect the announced budgetary rigor (3.9 billion euros) and to live up to the promise of spectacular and responsible Games, innovative and anchored in history.
A long road strewn with pitfalls.
After winning the Olympic and Paralympic Games in September 2017 in Lima, the French delegation experienced a moment of high symbolic value in Tokyo on Sunday with the reception of the Olympic flag at the end of the Games which will remain
