Tokyo Games: the show of Earvin Ngapeth, slightly tipsy, on the FranceTV set

Euphoric after the Olympic title won with the Blues volleyball on Saturday, the star of the Blues was invited to the interviews of the teams

Olympic volleyball and… party champion!

As on the ground of the Ariake Arena on Saturday during the final of the Games won by the Blues of volleyball in front of the Russians (3-2), Earvin Ngapeth was omnipresent, unavoidable, this Sunday morning in front of the cameras of France Televisions.

And as on the field, the star of French volleyball provided the show.

It was not Martine at the beach or in the countryside but Earvin with the basketball players, Earvin with the handball players… The sequences, which quickly became viral, have since been looping on social networks.

Obviously the historic gold medal of volleyball was worthily celebrated by the Poitevin and all the Blues. Watered even. Hilarious and euphoric, eyes red from the fatigue of a short night and, no doubt, by a few glasses of alcohol, Ngapeth first appeared in the middle of the French basketball teams. Almost incognito amidst the silver and bronze medalists. Questioned by the journalist of France Television, Rudy Gobert answers seriously before giving the word "to our leader Earvin". Ngapeth, basketball fan and whose first name is a tribute and a reference to the former American leader Magic Johnson, relishes the moment. His incomprehensible answer provokes giggles among the Blues and Bleues of basketball. We hear Cécile Grès say that "Ngapeth has the gold medal of the aperitif".

But the show has only just begun.

Invited on the journalist's set, Ngapeth, whose joie de vivre, smile and optimism worn permanently over the shoulder radiate onto others, gives his sunglasses to Laurent Tillie, whom he embraces affectionately.

An awkward remark by the journalist on the coach's official number of children provokes the hilarity of the Olympic champions.

A few moments later, the fantastic and brilliant receptionist invites himself to the interview with the handball gold medalists.

Sunglasses on his nose, Ngapeth sits on a stool in the middle of Karabatic's partners while his sidekick Trévor Clévenot, in precarious balance, improvises himself as a journalist and questions Michaël Guigou.

Good humor reigns on the set.

We see Hugo Descat stealing from Ngapeth the glass he is holding in his hand.

Cécile Grès punctuates the intervention with a preventive health message: "It is obviously water that there is in the glasses of athletes and players".

We do not doubt it.
